It was cool outside, a light breeze causing the temperature to be moderate. It was fall, and Halloween was to be soon. There were many things in place for festivities at the school, one of which was a Halloween masquerade. It seemed as if all the royals were excited about this, and on top of that, she needed to plan it all. It was getting late now as purple eyes glowed in the darkness, as it seemed to be coming from window three or four stories up the academy. The maid, the only one the school had, seemed to be busy with work as usual. The top two floors of the school were decked out as if it were a haunted house; even the garden and the pool were loaded with things to scare the royals. However, Eve had much to be doing at this time, one of which would be protecting them all, and making sure to have this event working to the best of her ability. She inhaled slowly feeling her skin grow cold. Whispers seemed to all but sigh along her ears. “Mmm…” she shivered seeming to enjoy the odd whispering melody. “I know lovelies, I hear you, I will give you what it is you want.” Eve sighed, allowing her left hand to slide up her right arm with a soft shivered. “Yes, it will be a glorious night, where the dead gets to live once more…”
Eve’s eyes were glowing bright, more so than they had ever been. With Halloween coming tonight, she just couldn’t control herself. The power was practically touching at her everywhere at this point. She bit her lower lip shivering from the power, the power she barely used. Eve was not like that. “Oh…but you are” her voice whispered out quickly. Tilting her head back, her black hair fell along her spine as she allowed her violet eyes to close. Halloween, she had a feeling it would be glorious, with real zombies.
A smile slid along her lips as she remembered the first time she had brought back the dead. The images flitted into her mind as she remembered it oh so well. The way the corpses climbed out of the ground, the way they reached out for her, the way they used to groan at her for salvation. It used to be terrifying; she didn’t know how to handle any of it the first time. Now it was safe, it made her feel strong, not afraid. It was the one thing from letting her slip into that void. Eve bit her lower lip again as her hand slid down the front of her dress. Yes, it was so marvelous how wonderful she had felt once she embraced it.
“Soon, I will let you all live again. For one night, you will live on Halloween”
