Fire surrounded the crater’s impact site as the forest it had affected in seemed to take the toll. Most trees nearby had been obliterated, and the ones around that area were now smoldering. Near the center of the crater was a crimson crystal seeming to emanate with a power like none other, cause red lightning to leap along its surface. It was a remarkable sight, something of that magnitude seeming to fall from the heavens itself and crash along the sinful world. However, beyond the affected tree line stood a girl, clad in an odd white and red outfit. It looks almost royal but she didn’t act it at all. Her unpatched eye focused along the crater with much interest as she began to walk towards it. To most, this would see like a dumb idea, why would you go mess with something that just fell out of the sky? It would be so hot there was no way to do anything to it. Even still she wanted to get closer, she felt drawn to it. Her book, held tightly in her left hand seemed to ebb with a yearn for the crystal.
Standing on the edge of the crater the smell of sulfur was pungent, repulsive, almost too much to bare. For a long moment she recoiled, holding her sleeve up to her nose to breathe through it, all the way her eye focused on the red crystal with almost an obsession. Her foot tapped along the ground a couple of times causing chunks of rock to slide down into the crater and stack up making a clear path towards it. Finally lowering her sleeve, she began to walk towards the crystal with interest, though she stopped a bit before it taking in the details of such a thing. The aura emanating off this thing was magnificent! The question of magical creatures from outer space flooded her mind, but she wasn’t really sure what it could be. How would she know what it was, especially when the crystal looked as if it would melt her flesh in a simple second. Silly, she would have to wait, or find a source of water to cool it down with, though she hadn’t seen anything of that caliber near where she was. Oh well. Slowly, she took a seat along the clump of rocks thinking about how it may have gotten here, what it could be, and more importantly, what was the crystal? Could it be used as a mana source, a magic amplifier, or maybe it was a some magical stone that turned you into something later on. Nibbling on her lip, she sighed and brought her book up to read at it. “Might as well be productive while I wait”
