Off the coast of Tiberion, there was a small island that was known for a violent bunch of natives. For years, the people of Tiberion were well aware of their existence, but tales go that anyone who went to the little island never came back. As the tale spread, the story seemed to change slowly until eventually it was said there was a great demon that resided there.
One day, a small village in the south of Tiberion gathered up supplies and went across the channel. As they stepped foot on this island they realized it looked as if no one inhabited it. They traveled along the island seeing new plant life and odd looking creatures. As they had almost given up on the little island, they found an odd set of footprints leading into a cave. The group ventured carefully into the cave and ran into something terrible.
The smell of rot and feces tainted the air. Curiosity got the better of them, one of them managed to light a torch, before them laid a mound of bodies and skeletons. Chunks of meat and bones seemed to riddle the ground. Blood was drenched into the dirt tainting it to be a dark red color and causing it to be squishy. With lighting the torch, they awoke the inhabitants of the island. The cannibals.
As the story goes, only one man managed to make it back to the little village in Tiberion, he told his tales of watching his fellow villagers be eaten alive as they moved as beasts and decimated them until there were only a few left. The boy stated he got away with only mild bite marks and scratches due to luck. Word spread about the cannibalistic island, many villages and kingdoms decided to ignore it and pretend it didn’t exist, but the capital of Tiberion, Araycia decided it was too risky to leave them alive, and ordered for the island to be destroyed.
The army of Araycia boarded their ships and came over ready for genocide. What they didn’t expect was to find giant pirate ship floating off the coast of the island. As a group rushed the island, they found the cave the survivor explained and found a giant man standing in from of a group of bloodied men. The man was clad in dark leather. His figure seemed to tower 2 to 3 feet above the more primitive looking men. Grinning at the men from Araycia, it was said, he moved his hand and the men attacked ripping them apart into a quick meal.
Though the ship from Araycia was able to escape, any men that were left on the island were never heard from again. Thus started the stories of the cannibal island and the new found pirate ship. The Bloody Gale. It is said that The Bloody Gale’s captain was named Vance the Reaper. He seemed to just come out of no where and employ the cannibals, and due to that, his name as a captain and as a band of pirate spread.
