She was surrounded. The knights of Edowen had managed to out maneuver her and now she stood in the midst of peril. Each knight looked the same as the other, black armor, horns protruding out of the top, armored tail along the back with spikes lining it, and each with sword and shield.
‘This is a bit of a problem’ Rikka chimed in seeming interested in the whole ordeal.
Rena’s grip along her bastard sword tightened as she slowly turned to look at all of them. Knowing there wasn’t many choices, she moved towards the smaller of the knights throwing her weight into her weapon. The blades connected and slid for a moment before her weapon got under the shield and caused it to fling into the air behind him.
‘To your sides’
Her sword again clashed with the knight before her, as her armored foot raised and stomped the ground. Two large pillars of stone erupted to her right and left side, blocking the oncoming attack.
Her boot raised and kicked the knight before her in the chest as she spun on her heel and brought her blade up fast, blocking the attack of the other. The walls to her sides crumbled as the knights had managed to break through it. Scowling at being surrounded again, she waited for an opportunity while swinging at the man before her. Now wielding with one hand she had to deal with the others around her. One came from the left, her hand moved, causing the sword to chime off her metal gauntlet, the right side came faster than expected. Snaking her left arm over to her right side, she was relieved when she heard that chime as well.
Stomping her right foot once more, the ground below her seemed to crater instantly dropping her a good 10 feet down. Unlike her, the one swinging from behind did not have a soft landing. As he hit the ground, she closed the difference, stabbed through the creature neck, and kicked the blunt of her blade to detach the head.
Her eyes moved to look above the, the three remained now. Bending her knees a bit, she lept up feeling her other side getting antsy.
Giving into that side, her eyes seemed to all but melt into blood. The red hue shining brightly as she landed on the ground above the crater. While holding the sword, the blade erupted into fire as she clashed with another knight causing the flames to grow larger. Managing to parry the knights on coming attack, she swung the flaming blade through the demons neck and turned around. “Two little knights still remain… come here little ones and let me feast” moving the sword back along her back her hand moved forward, claws protruding in response. The knight swung fast, however she back handed it with little effort and grabbed the man by the helmet. Her hand grew hot until it began to melt showing the demons face. Smiling, her gaze locked on as she inhaled pulling the soul out and sucking it in.
Pleased, she dropped the empty husk and rushed for the next one. The knight was knocked to the ground with the woman straddling him. Her claws brushed along her chest for a moment before she moved forward and ripped the helm off his face. Purring, her face grew closer to his as she inhaled sucking the soul out of him.
Rena’s eyes changed back to blue as she slowly stood up and looked around. “I suppose that does work.”
‘Told you so’
