A new day had finally begun; the entire kingdom seemed to be aware of this, well, almost the entire kingdom. With the merchants beginning their usual ruckus, there was a rather dissatisfied groan from within one of the tavern rooms. The off-white blankets were thrown to the floor as a heap of black hair seem to raise from it. Blue eyes pierced through the mop of black before it was pushed aside to reveal a feminine face.
Her features were soft, delicate, and beautiful; however, her expression did not currently match that. Her expression was one of annoyance. Pushing her hack back, she finally sighed letting her annoyance fade.
Rena had arrived within Laythien sometime last night and honestly, she had wished for more sleep. Running her fingers through her hair, she moved off the bed and padded over to the table. Along the surface was a set of folded clothes, pieces of armor, and two closed fans. Her hands moved from her hair and began to put on her normal attire.
It didn’t take too long to fit herself back into her dress, gauntlets, boots, pauldrons, and other assorted armor. Moving towards the door, she pulled her greatsword over her back and fastened it. Next, she grabbed her longsword and placed it on her hip. Lastly, she retrieved her pack and fans.
Now that all her equipment where she wanted, she smoothed her hands over her clothes and straightened some of the armor. “Hmm” pulling a portion of her hair over her shoulders, she smiled happily. Perfect. With her appearance pristine, she made her way out into Laythien.
The kingdom itself was nice, however, it seemed rather disorganized to her. It was also odd for her to see so many elves. Briefly, she remembered seeing a few in the meetings every not and then, but even that was rather rare. In this kingdom, it seemed it was her world backwards. With so few humans around it was almost eerie.
Brushing off the thoughts, she found herself in the midst of the noisy merchants. Were the Thiris merchants just as noisy? This did make her curious; however, it wasn’t very important.
‘We are here for a reason, you know.’
“I’m aware,” she answered silently. Glancing around the kingdom, she attempted to identify buildings. Thankfully, one of them had a very showy skull hanging right inside the door. Pleased she didn’t have to ask someone, she made her way towards the bounty guild.
Inside the building were multiple types of pelts, skulls, weapons, and odd pieces. Honestly, Rena wanted to examine every single one and ask so many questions. Unfortunately, now wasn’t the time. Adverting her gaze, she moved towards the guild master at the counter. “Good day miss,” her voice was polite yet soft still. “I’m here to inquire about your bounty system,” it was obvious she didn’t know how this worked but she was not about to admit it. There was a pause after her wording as an internal war waged. Her eyes slowly bled to red as she quickly placed her hand on the counter. “Give me the hardest bounty you have” the phrase was spoke rather quickly and soon enough a soft sigh escaped Rena’s lips as her blue gaze returned. Moving her hand back politely, she smiled and added, “If you would please.” There was nothing more awkward than the random cover up when Rikka interjected.
