-Oceanside – fishing village – neko’s
-escaped via boat
-There was a village on the coast of the ocean that was filled with “human” fishermen. At one point, a small tribe of nekos wandered into the village, ended up living along side of the humans, and even learned the joys of fishing. The humans only had one rule for the nekos; they needed to stay inside at night. The reasoning for this was due to the humans stating that it was dangerous at night, and everyone in the village knew this and adhered to it. Wanting to be able to stay in their new home, no one ever questioned it. For a great amount of time, the neko’s and humans lived together with no problems.
Miyuki’s parents use to live in the nearby capital and helped research some of the oddities surrounding the area, and left over history books. Due to the amount of time that is unmarked by history the nearby kingdom began to drag every intelligent person to them to try to piece together the missing pieces in time. Unfortunately they came up blank and the research was let go as “unknown.” Her parents, though no longer on the research project, still grew curious about the missing history. After moving with the neko tribe to their new found home in Chromire, it seemed they had finally given up on their obsession of history. Miyuki’s mom, however, couldn’t leave it alone. Curious to see if this little tribe knew anything, she began to ask them questions and tried snooping around. Miyuki’s father told his wife it wasn’t a good idea but it didn’t stop her. Eventually she went missing. Panicked by his wife vanishing, he told the other nekos in an attempt to find her. [They thought she was just missing]. Not but a day or two later, the entire neko side of the village was wiped out. Miyuki and a couple of the other children were all but thrown on a boat in an attempt to survive, though none of the children were aware of what Miyuki’s parents were poking around at.
