A dimly lit room off the west wing of the castle seemed eerily quiet, as if there should have been noise but wasn’t. Slowly a door covered in dust shot open causing a murky cloud to obscure the way. Heels clicked along the granite as a woman seemingly emerged from behind it. Her attire was showy but in a tasteful way showing off of her curves. The white frill rubbed along the black stockings as she hastened her way down the hall and entered into a room where a couple people sat quietly. Thankfully, the people in the room weren’t the visitors they had been waiting for. Taking her seat next to Alexander, she stated completely silent.
A couple minutes later the doors opened again, but this time one of the servants announced them. “Our company has arrived.” He stated simply. A scantily clad neko stepped through first, her sharp gaze peered over each of them, then stopping along the princess who had arrived only minutes before. “I apologize for our lateness.” Her voice came out in a deep purr. “Allow me to introduce ourselves….” Her accent was a thick purr, however it was easy to understand. Next stepped in two women. They both had bright blonde hair. One of which had obvious elven ears, the other didn’t show them. They were obvious twins. “King Alexander, this would be Mia and Mya, the princesses of Aeria. Due to struggles with Edowen our Queen was unable to travel herself, however, seeing as they are next to the throne, they are more than competent.” Both women smiled and did a graceful curtsey and took a seat across from Alexander. One of the twins grabbed a nearby chair and pulled it over to sit at the head of the table with her sister. Both sat and stated silent.
Next entered another anthro. This one was a bit more clothed that the other, and sported a wolf tail, though based on her weapon and attire she was a guard. The neko quickly chimed in. “This would be our guard Sallia the best warrior along the forest tribes. I, myself would be known as Cleo, the advisor to the Queen and princesses, as well as the ruler of the forest tribes.”
With that, everyone took their seat. For a while, there was nothing but talk of speculation about Edowens movements and what had occurred up until then. Eventually the talk tapered down to the main topic, applying a treaty with Aeria to wipe out Edowen.
The twins seemed not too interested in Alexanders drabble, however, they were quick to find other interest.
“Who is the woman next to you? Mia asked with a curious grin
“Surely you don’t have a muddled blood as your heir…” Mya quickly chimed in, her grin growing
“Do you Alexander?” they both giggled a bit knowing they were poking his buttons.
Alexander seemed to be caught off guard by the question and quickly waved it away with a snort. “Hardly, this child” he stressed the word child “has been under my care for a while, she simply sits in, and I hope she learns something” his voice was booming, it was obvious he hadn’t thought this one through.
“A sit in? Mya pondered
“but not a heir..?” Mia questioned
“Then what is she? A street rat?” Mya leaned forward allowing her chest to push along the table
“Or a bargaining chip for something far more.. devious” Mia mimicked her sister
Both grins grew as Cleo chimed in. “Well girl, have you a name?”
Rena had been quietly listening the whole time. In truth, she wasn’t sure why she was here, but it seemed the princesses of Aeria wanted to find out why. For a moment, Cleo’s question hung in the air. “My name is Rena, Rena Dedante.”
“Dedante?” Mya chimed
“hmm a peculiar name isn’t it Mya?” Mia questioned.
“It is indeed, like something out of a forgotten fairytale.” Mya answered back
“A pathetic attempt”
“Oh yes, very pathetic indeed.”
“Alexander” they both chimed in “Have your street rat removed, or we’ll remove her for you.”
