Seasons change, as they always do. The colors of fall are slowly fading into the grey scale. The temperature goes from a humid breeze to a cool chill. Winter is coming. The lush forest in the center of Araowyyn has dulled to a brown from it’s lively orange. Most of the inhabitants of the forest have began to pull in all the leftover crops and begin their mass hunts for pelts and meat. Plumes of smoke begin to spill out of the canvas from small fires for those to huddle by.
On the outskirts of this forest, lay the kingdom of Thiris. This is a proud kingdom of humans, who believe to be the superior race in this world. On top of that, they are a very religious race, following their “God’s” beliefs to an extreme. Here recently, King Alexander Leonixin has opened the gates to the surrounding villages of halfbreeds nearby. The humans have reluctantly accepted their company within the walls as merchants and visitors. Though this has made their kingdom more profitable the stress levels of the kingdom are rising as their want to “cleanse” their homes is getting to an all time high.
With this stress level, the King has stepped up and made a startling announcement. A grand festival to celebrate the new treaty between Aeria and themselves. The festival will be two days long. Beginning with food, merchants, and games, and ending with a fabulous masquerade ball. Not only is it a wonderful two day festival, but it also will be open to all. Regardless of race. It is said that the King has a grand announcement to make at the end of the festivities.
Today marks the beginning of the festivities, most come for the food and fun, and some out of sheer curiosity as to what the King is planning.
