I have no idea where this came from, I was going through my folders for the content I needed to post and found this. I can’t even remember writing this? Well anyways, here you go.
Rena was at her desk for a long moment before letting her hair and face press along the desk in defeat. The peasant grab clung to her figure oddly, it looked wrong. She sat there, her blue locks spread out along the desk for a long moment before finally gathering herself and pushing the chair back. Her blue hair began to drag back along the books before she straightened up causing it to fall along her shoulders, face, and her chest. Her gaze was blank along the wall before her as she began to walk towards her bed in the back. Her hand moved over her back as she pulled at the strings of the corset. “Off…” she grumbled.
Rounding the corner back over to her room, she plopped onto the bed and began to pull at the fabric of the dress as she heard the voice in her head getting loud.
“Get it off! Get it off right now!”
Her blue eyes dilated as the voice grew louder and louder in her head. She bit her lower lip as she began to rip at the fabric and let it drop along the bed around her. The sounds of tearing grew louder and louder before she was sitting in the bed with only the corset left on her.
‘Filth, rid the filth, I’ll rid all the filth’
Her hand moved up her back as she pulled at the strings desperately, frowning at the fact that she couldn’t really remove the corset by herself. The air around her began to shift awkwardly causing the shreds of fabrics to roll along the beds covers. Her hand reached desperately at the strings as she felt a cold hand press along her spine and then her corset came loose. Her eyes grew wide as she turned around looking to see something, but there was nothing. Her hands moved to grab the corset off her chest and toss it at the bottom of her bed. She clutched the covers back to her chest as little shreds of grey and brown lay around her.
‘Do not allow such insults ‘
Her shoulders fell as she backed herself into the corner of her bed and pulled the covers around her as she sighed heavily. She didn’t know what the voice was, she didn’t know what all was going on. Slowly her eyes closed as she pulled the recent memory of her father back. He asked her why she thought she was human. Her hand raised as she stared at her palm. “Am I… not human?”
The voice stirred with the question, a dark growl coming deep within in, causing her to feel cold. She drew her knees against her chest as she tried to remember.
Thiris. She had lived here for her while life, hadn’t she? Her memories began to flicker through her time with Thiris. It showed pictures of her room, little visits to the garden, the daily training exercises with Indra. Her shoulders sagged. Indra, he was all she had. This kingdom offered her nothing. Her lips turned to a frown as she remembered being thrown into this room for the first time. When the king had found her, her hair wasn’t this blue color, it was black due to her being covered in filth. The moment he saw her hair color it was as if he was scared of it. Her eyes shut tigher as she exhaled recalling as much as she could, she remembered walking into Thiris for the first time. No, she wanted sooner.
“Oh whatever do you mean dear daughter? You human, surely you remember what you did… back then, don’t you?”
She was trying desperately to recall, she needed sooner than that. Her body began to tense as she tried to recall, she felt her mind begin to ache as she caught a sharp pain in her back causing her to gasp and tense in pain. Flashes of red, the smell of blood. Rena tried to focus, her hand reaching forward as she saw the outline of white among the red. What.. was that?
The memory snapped back out of reach immediately as she sat there panting heavily staring at the back of the bookshelf. “Why…” her voice was but a whisper as she felt herself sinking against the wall and deeper into the covers. What was going on? Closing her eyes for a moment she inhaled slowly as she tried to think everything through. Her father wanted her to go to the masquerade, he wanted her to announce her presence, after him ignoring her for years. There was a voice in her head and Indra was gone. It wasn’t uncommon for Indra to have other things to do, it was more so the timing. Her hands moved to press along her fact as she shook lightly. Her fingers tangled in with her blue locks as her covers hid her from the world.
