Yu had managed to start a small amount of conversation. She believed this would be enough to show that she wasn’t rude, though she had wanted to leave quite a while ago. The man seemed interested in her chide about his name and answered about the capital of Syria. A noticeable frown appeared on her face. Great, are people going to constantly remind her that this is just a game? He went to go on about some play he did or maybe went somewhere. She rolled her eyes. This was not of any interest to her and she was just about to bail when he seemed to catch the hint and quickly leave her.
“Thank the beings…,” she muttered turning on her heels to finally leave the useless conversation. The marketplace was still overly crowded and it was beginning to annoy her to no end. Quickly pushing her way over to another merchant, she was just about there, just in time to stumble into yet another person. She felt this person smack against her chest and go to stumble backwards, though it seemed they didn’t all out fall like Damascus, so that was good. Tilting her chin down towards the person, she peered through the fabric of the blindfold and sighed heavily. “Try to keep on your feet, newbie.” She stated simply.
Yu was running out of patience. There was too many people in such a small space. All she wanted to do was buy what the adventurer’s guild marked as the basics. Deciding that the girl that bumped into her was fine, she turned towards the merchant and began to look over the goods. “I’ll take…” she muttered knowing full well the NPC could hear her. “three basic meals, three waters, five basic snacks, and I suppose a tea.” She stated simply. The NPC gave her a look as if asking for the money. Blinking she fished out her gems and paid the main 39 gems.
Reaching out towards the items they quickly vanished and an icon popped up stating she had new inventory items. She nodded a bit to herself, understanding how this was going to work. Now facing the crowd once more, she noticed the girl that had bumped into her a moment ago was still standing there. She scratched the back of her head a bit awkward at this whole talking things. “What is it? If you’re new you should go to the adventurer’s guild.” She stated as if the woman had already asked her a question.
Yu went silent before finally getting overly annoyed at the crowd once more. ‘Too much, there’s just too many people!’ Turning her gaze towards the center of town, she glanced back at the woman. Did she had any reason to stand here awkwardly? Was this how normal people talked. She frowned. This was a game; she was trying to get away from real life. Surely here, she could show Alex how amazing of a sister she was, right? An audible sigh escaped her lips as she dropped her shoulders in defeat.
“Look” she started with the girl in front of her. “Go to the adventurer’s guild. There is A LOT of information on how to play the game, what to know, the mechanics and everything.” She stated simply seeming noticeably twitchy. “In an hour or something close to it they’ll open the game. It may be less than an hour now, I don’t know. Just…” she glanced away seeming to be having more than a few problem with this conversation or maybe it was just people in general. ‘I don’t know how to approach people here… I can’t talk to people in real life either’ she fell silent realizing that she didn’t know how to deal with this situation. ‘It’s not real life though; I can be whoever I want.’ It was as if the idea hadn’t quite occurred to her. “Make sure to take care of yourself.” She stated thinking it would make her cool, though it sounded rather lame to her. “N-not that I care or anything!” she yelled quickly and stalked off towards the center of town.
‘People are weird!’
