“Listen my child to the tale of our world….
The world of Elynia is a wonderful place of beauty and wonder. Crafted by the goddesses themselves, it embodies everything a god would want. During the creation of this great world, the two goddess split the work of creating half and half. The sun goddess created land and nature, whereas the moon goddess created the ocean and atmosphere. With their newfound creation placed into being, they only needed to fill it with life.
The sun goddess felt that the world needed to expand on nature and created elves and beastkin to only heighten the feeling of nature itself. The moon goddess believed the the creatures they were creating should be different and created humans who had an affinity to many things but nothing relatively strong.
The sun goddess was a kind goddess, she came down to the land to take care of her people often to make sure they were able to live comfortably. She made sure any harm that went to befall her people, she stopped it from happening herself. She was their protector, their mother, and nothing would harm them. The moon goddess, however, never once came down to visit her people and anytime some bad luck befell them, they had no one to help them but themselves.
As years passed, a feud broke out between the goddesses. The sun goddess was the goddess of the people and the moon goddess was bitter with jealousy. In her jealousy, she created the monsters that now seek to kill every living thing that isn’t another monster on this world and created negative emotions to plague our mind. Distraught, the sun goddess tried desperately to cleanse us all of our negative emotions, but was unable. Desperate to find a way to help her children, she forced the world into a cleansing cycle that we know as Harmonize.
Every 100 years the world would reach a peak of negativity. At this point, all of the monsters would be frenzied and more dangerous than ever before. Their size and strength would double. Their appearance would become more fearsome. They would even emit a purple black aura showing how tainted they are. But at this hundred year mark, a great evil would arise that controlled the frenzied monsters and ten heroes would rise to compete with the creatures threatening their world.
It is said that the heroes will rise with marks of glory ordained on their skin to show their trials. They are known to be our only hope against such monstrosities and regain our worlds harmony.”
“But what makes a person a hero?”
“A hero is an ordinary person who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. They are someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than themself.”
