Harmonize, the event that occurs every 100 years, in a never ending cycle to keep the world from falling into the chaos. Every person alive knows about the cycle, they know the importance of the worlds heroes. Heroes that were once normal people that rose to the occasion to protect or stop the devastation of the monsters. The heroes chosen by the sun goddess with their marks engraved on their skin.
The time has come once more, for the new generation of heroes to rise to the plate, take hold of their weapons, and seize the opportunity. The horns on every continent will sound, as the great tower in the center of the Dreadlands will rise up from between the entangled land.
Today is that day.
A shrill shriek echoed through the land as spires of black corruption can be seen from thousands of miles away. It’s reach, through the clouds. It’s inflicted feeling: despair. The air around the tower will crackle with foul energy as the land around it seemed to rot away. All creatures around will glow with a purple black aura as their strength is more than doubled.
The lands of the other five kingdoms quake with the sheer power that ripples through each land, causing the monsters to gain even more power. A new evil has awoken. Some say they can hear the cackle of the moon goddess as the world has now reached it’s peak of negativity. It’s pinnacle of the cursed cycle.
Inside the tower, sits a rather small figure, clouded in darkness and tangled in bloodied tendrils. Her eyes, piercing red within the darkness, seeming to be the only difference within the shrouded room. The soft sound of ragged breathing echoed in the small area, as the soft tapping on metal seemed to be the only unnatural sound. A chuckle broke through the tension starting out rather slow before cracking into a maniacs laugh.
“yes.. Yes! I see now! This is how it is!” her voice was cracking with the high pitch of her voice. “Yessss… it is now. I see, I’ve known all along. Damn you goddess! Damn you for what you have done to me… damn you all…” slowly the maniacal laughter calmed down to a soft chuckle. “You will all see soon enough, rise heroes, let’s measure you’re worth.”
