The sun was rising along the balcony as it shined through the drapes and skimmed along the deep blue sheets. A mass of black lay across the pillows as a groan seemed to erupt from the pillows themselves. Suddenly, the covers shot up and the pillows flew off the bed onto the floor as a woman jumped up letting her black hair fall around her face. Her skin was a very light tan giving her an almost milky color. Her eyelids fluttered open as her bright green eyes reflected the light flooding into her room. Slowly moving over to the edge of the bed, she seemed to not be quite awake yet as she slowly stood up to get dressed. Standing at a short 5’5”, she still managed to fill out her dresses quite well. Pulling on a simple emerald color dress, she glanced down noticing that was good enough. Too lazy to put on shoes she grabbed her brush and quickly fixed her black curly mass of hair. Finally done with the pleasantries, she was about to move to the door when it swung open with haste.
Focusing her eyes on the figure, she squinted a bit before being whisked away by one of the nannies. She was going on her eightieth birthday in a week and she already considered herself a woman, but no one else seemed to think of her as such. It was beyond frustrating. Her days were all mapped out for her from dawn until dusk. Rushing off to most likely piano practice she stumbled a bit in her hurry over a rug. The nanny turned around letting her blonde hair pass in front of her pale skin and grey eyes to snap at her. “Charlotte! Did you not wear your shoes again?” The woman’s words snapped as she all but growled at her. Throwing the door open to the music room, she pushed her in and the woman rushed away, all of her tall stature made her seem opposing as she most likely went to go get her some pair of shoes.
Charlotte rolled her eyes in irritation as she moved her way over to the large piano. Smiling happily, she ran her fingers along the elegant wood and took a seat on the bench. She really did love this piano. As much as she hated being told what to do with her every second of the day, this was one thing she didn’t argue with, though she wished it was much later in the day. Now properly seated on the bench her fingers brushed along the keys as she wondered just what she would be playing today. Maybe some Mozart, or maybe if she could bully her teacher, some Chopin, oh she loved how that man had wrote his music, to tease the senses. Letting out a sigh in happiness, she heard the back door open as her music lesson would begin.
Soft blowing wind, and slow measures of time
Every caress and touch shows that you are mine.
Slowly as the sun surely is set
And every breath seems like my first bet
With every second with you, I relax
Time slows down as I collapse
So weird is the way that things have been
Every moment is like an addictive sin
And here again, I think of you
Slowly smiling is one thing you do
And within myself I begin to smile
Because everyday with you is worth my while.
Everyone tries to find out what it could be
But has better luck drinking green tea
It takes a while to find out
But it won’t give you any doubt
You hear how happy it will make others
Mostly by our mothers
The meaning of life is a mystery now
But sooner or later we will know the know how
It might confuse others into thinking
But don’t get caught blinking
God always puts us through rigorous tests
To see if we rest
As school works gets harder
The time we seem to barter
As we try to make our grades the best
We forget we can’t rest
Summer is coming and I know we can’t wait
That gives us no reason to debate
I know we can’t wait to hang out with our friends
The mall, the skate park it doesn’t seem to end
But as soon as summer starts
It will break our hearts
That school is back
And yet again we’ll be tired and lack
I know it’s long away
But summer gives us something to look forward to each and everyday
Sorrow and despair fill my heart
for the love of my life I’m kept away from
for when I met him I wished he’d come
but no matter how much I tried my parents actions were tart
I still wish to meet my love
but it might not be meant for me
all this life of mine seems to be a me and not a we
love is suppose to be a pure as a dove
My heart is broken and i can’t escape
the loneliness inside and my screaming soul
I try to reach my personal goal
my soul is tormented and few can relate…
In the night the sun sets
I await the day I can be put to rest
In the moonlight i glare
my soul forever weeping and i don’t care
My heart awaits for the day i die
for the day I forever rest I will lie
Underneath the shine of the moon
and my soul never more gloom.
